Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. hamburg or catsup beef
  • 1 1/4 lb. ground pork
  • 2 (15 1/2 oz.) cans red kidney beans
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. cumin

Instructions

  1. Brown meat; drain off fat.
  2. Add undrained kidney beans, tomatoes and the remaining ingredients.
  3. Cover; simmer for 1 hour. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
