Instructions
- Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
- Add soda, salt and molasses, then add raisins and nuts.
- Stir in flour.
- Press out onto cookie sheets.
- With hands, make a big flat sheet just up to edge of cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake at 350° for approximately 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cut into bars.
- If hard, they should soften in a couple days.
- Shouldn't be soft when taken from oven.
