Ingredients

  • 1 T plain gelatin
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth from can
  • 1 T chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup string beans, drained well
  • 1/2 cup shredded raw carrots
  • 1 T vinegar dressing
  • 1/2 cup raw celery
  • 1 oz diced cheese
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Dissolve 1 tablespoon plain gelatin in 1 tablespoon chicken broth.
  2. Heat remaining chicken broth and add the dissolved gelatin, then let cool for 5 minutes. Mix with chili sauce.
  3. Add string beans, shredded raw carrots, raw celery, salt, pepper, and diced cheese to the mixture.
  4. Pour into a mold and chill until serving time.
  5. Unmold the salad over lettuce and sprinkle with vinegar dressing. Serve at once.
