A flavorful low-fat turkey casserole combining tender turkey, rice, and creamy mushroom and chicken soups, topped with fat-free cheese for a hearty, healthy meal perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can low-fat cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can low-fat chicken noodle soup
  • 1 can skim milk
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • grated fat-free cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook ground turkey and chopped onions without browning.
  2. Drain any excess grease from the cooked turkey and onions.
  3. Add low-fat cream of mushroom soup, low-fat chicken noodle soup, skim milk, and uncooked rice to the turkey mixture.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a buttered casserole dish.
  5. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of baking, top with grated fat-free cheese if desired.
