Luau Ribs

Juicy, tender spare ribs glazed with a sweet and tangy peach and ginger sauce, perfect for casual gatherings or family dinners with bold flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/2 oz. jars strained peaches (baby food)
  • 1/3 cup catsup
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash pepper
  • 4 pounds meaty spare ribs

Instructions

  1. Mix together all ingredients except ribs; set aside.
  2. Rub ribs on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Place ribs, meat side up, in a foil-lined shallow pan.
  4. Bake in a very hot 450° oven for 15 minutes.
  5. Spoon off fat.
  6. Pour sauce over ribs.
  7. Continue baking at 350° for 1 1/2 hours until done, basting with sauce several times.
  8. Cut into serving pieces.
