Delicious pizza rolls with melty mozzarella, savory hamburger, and flavorful seasonings, perfect as a snack or appetizer for any gathering or family meal.

Ingredients

  • your favorite roll recipe
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese
  • 1 to 2 lb hamburger
  • 1 cup minced onion
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper

Instructions

  1. Make your favorite roll recipe.
  2. Grate the mozzarella cheese and set aside.
  3. Brown the hamburger meat.
  4. Add chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes.
  5. Add tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and chopped green pepper (if using); stir and simmer.
  6. Roll the dough into two rectangles, each about 1/4-inch thick.
  7. Spread the cooled hamburger mixture over the dough rectangles.
  8. Sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese.
  9. Roll up each rectangle and slice into individual pieces.
  10. Let the rolls rise, then bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
  11. Optional: Serve hot topped with additional sauce or cream of mushroom soup with peas.
