Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup buttermilk biscuit mix
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • red pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Blend butter and biscuit mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in the egg, chopped macadamia nuts, shredded Cheddar cheese, and red pepper.
  4. Drop teaspoons of the mixture onto a greased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 8 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Store in containers lined with paper towels.
  7. May be reheated before serving.
