Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup macaroni (San Georgio acine de pepe #48)
  • 20 oz can pineapple tidbits
  • 1 small can mandarin oranges
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Drain the juices from the pineapple tidbits and mandarin oranges.
  2. Combine the drained juice with flour, sugar, and beaten eggs in a saucepan.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture becomes smooth and thick.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the drained pineapple and mandarin oranges with the cooled custard mixture.
  6. Gently fold in Cool Whip until well combined.
  7. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator before serving.
