Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour, sifted
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 6 eggs, at room temperature
  • 4 teaspoons almond flavoring
  • 1 pint whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and margarine together and beat until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
  3. Beat the mixture for an additional 3 minutes.
  4. Add almond flavoring.
  5. Add flour and whipping cream in thirds, alternating and mixing well after each addition.
  6. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  7. Bake in a cold oven at 300°F for 1 1/2 hours or until golden brown.
