Ingredients

  • 2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 25 Ritz crackers
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Bring water, sugar, and cinnamon to a boil.
  2. Add crushed Ritz crackers and brown sugar to the boiling mixture.
  3. Cook until thickened, then remove from heat and stir in cream of tartar.
  4. Pour the hot mixture into an unbaked pie crust.
  5. Top with a little butter, place the top crust over, and bake for 30 minutes at 375°F.
