Malted Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 3/4 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 3/4 cups Nestle Carnation Malted Milk (Original)
  • 2 whole Eggs, Separated
  • 1-3/4 cup Milk (or Buttermilk) - More Or Less Depending On Texture
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 cups Peanut Oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flours, baking powder, salt, and malted milk.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the egg yolks, buttermilk, vanilla, and peanut oil. Add to the dry ingredients.
  3. In a small bowl beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold carefully into the rest of the mixture.
  4. Bake according to your waffle maker's instructions. Remove waffles carefully.
  5. Serve with peanut butter, butter, maple syrup, or regular syrup. Enjoy!
