Maple-Walnut Corn Sticks

Ingredients

  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/4 c. maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c. yellow corn meal
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. maple extract

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°.
  2. Brush two 7-stick corn stick pans generously with oil.
  3. Place in oven for about 5 minutes until hot.
