Tips & Substitutions

For a spicier kick, consider adding a few diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture. If you want to reduce the sweetness, cut back on the brown sugar or replace it with honey. You can also substitute the Polish sausage with Hot Creole Sausage for a different flavor profile. Make sure to adjust cooking times accordingly if using a different type of sausage.

Serving Suggestions

Serve the marinated Polish sausage over a bed of rice or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce. It pairs beautifully with Carolyn'S Dirty Rice for a hearty meal. Consider adding a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for balance. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color.

Storage & Reheating

Leftover marinated Polish sausage can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place the sausage and sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until warmed through, or microwave in short intervals, stirring frequently. Avoid overcooking, as this can dry out the sausage.
