Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2/3 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 1 teaspoon hot water
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Combine chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar, and melted butter or margarine in a small bowl.
  2. Pat the mixture firmly into a 9 x 13-inch baking pan to form the crust, covering the bottom and sides.
  3. Chill the crust in the refrigerator.
  4. In a large mixer bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until fluffy.
  5. Add the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate syrup to the cream cheese and mix well.
  6. Dissolve the instant coffee in hot water in a small bowl.
  7. Add the coffee mixture to the cream cheese mixture and blend thoroughly.
  8. Fold in the whipped cream gently until well combined.
  9. Pour the filling into the prepared crust.
  10. Cover the pan and freeze until the cheesecake is firm.
  11. Garnish with additional chocolate crumbs if desired before serving.
