Ingredients

  • 4 slices white bread
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 2 cups sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Tear up 4 slices of white bread and place them in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  2. Brown and drain the sausage; spread it evenly over the bread.
  3. Sprinkle the grated sharp Cheddar cheese over the sausage and bread.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the casserole ingredients.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes, or until set and golden brown.
