Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Mix sifted confectioners sugar, egg, softened butter, and vanilla until well combined.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  3. Refrigerate the dough for about three hours.
  4. Roll out the chilled dough to desired thickness.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Bake the cookies for 7 to 8 minutes until lightly golden.
