Ingredients

  • 4 lb. Italian sausage
  • 2 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 8 1/4 lb. mastacotti noodles
  • 1 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (No. 10) can spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage and diced onion in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  2. Heat the spaghetti sauce and add it to the sausage and onion mixture, then stir in Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bring water to a boil and cook the mastacotti noodles until tender.
  4. Combine the cooked noodles with the sausage and sauce mixture in a large pan.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
