Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, margarine, eggs, and honey together.
  2. Mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, cornmeal, and salt.
  3. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the creamed mixture, stirring until just combined; batter will be lumpy.
  4. Pour batter into a greased 11x14-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake at 325-350°F for 35 minutes or until golden brown.
