A hearty and flavorful meatloaf perfect for two, combining savory ground beef with seasonings and topped with optional ketchup or cheese for added taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 pound ground beef or meat loaf mixture
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Shape into two loaves.
  3. Place in an ungreased pan and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  4. If desired, top one loaf with catsup, chili sauce, or strips of cheese.
  5. Return to oven and bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Serve the loaf immediately.
  7. Cool the remaining loaf.
  8. Wrap in foil, label, and freeze.
  9. To serve, place the foil-wrapped frozen loaf on an oven rack.
  10. Heat at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes.
