Meat Loaf(Always Good)

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2/3 c. bread crumbs or quick oatmeal
  • 3/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1/3 c. catsup
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. sage
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In large bowl, combine all ingredients.
  2. Press mixture into an ungreased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. Cover with a good layer of catsup.
  4. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Drain off excess fat. Invert loaf onto serving dish.
  6. Let stand several minutes before slicing.
