Crunchy, spicy Mexi-Spiced Nuts combine chili, cayenne, and garlic with buttery roasted nuts, making a flavorful snack perfect for gifting or satisfying a spicy craving.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 2 c. roasted peanuts
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 to 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Place pecans and peanuts in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Pour the mixture over the nuts and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Bake in a 325°F oven for 30 minutes, stirring once every 10 minutes.
  5. Cool the nuts completely and package in a food container to keep them fresh.
