A flavorful Mexican-inspired Chex Mix featuring spicy seasoning, melted cheese, and crunchy nuts, perfect for snacking at parties, gatherings, or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp Mexican seasoning
  • 4 drops hot pepper sauce
  • 6 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 2 Tbsp grated American cheese
  • peanuts or mixed nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Heat butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan until melted.
  3. Remove from oven and stir in Mexican seasoning and hot pepper sauce.
  4. Add Corn Chex cereal and toss until all pieces are coated.
  5. Mix in peanuts or mixed nuts.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, stirring midway to ensure even coating.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle evenly with grated American cheese.
  8. Toss to coat all pieces with cheese.
  9. Spread on paper towels to cool before serving.
