Mexican Tarts are savory, handheld snacks featuring beans, cheese, olives, and green onions, topped with sour cream. Perfect for parties, snacks, or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf bread
  • 1/4 cup refried beans
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • chopped black olives
  • sliced green onions
  • sour cream
  • salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place 1/2 teaspoon of refried beans on each slice of bread.
  3. Sprinkle with shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, chopped black olives, and sliced green onions.
  4. Add a dab of sour cream on top of each assembled tart.
  5. Place a slice of bread on top of each tart.
  6. Pinch the edges to seal the tart.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Serve with salsa for dipping.
