Mile-High Apple Pie

- Roll half of the pastry on a floured surface into a circle 1 inch larger than the inverted 9-inch pie pan. Ease the pastry into the pan.
- Combine cornstarch, Equal Measure sweetener, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt; sprinkle over sliced apples in a large bowl and toss to coat.
- Arrange the apple mixture in the prepared pie crust.
- Roll the remaining pastry into a circle large enough to fit the top of the pie.
- Cut hearts in the pastry with cutters.
- Place the pastry with hearts on top of the filled pie, seal the edges, trim, and flute.
- Press pastry hearts onto the top as decoration.
- Bake in a preheated 425°F oven until the pastry is golden and apples are tender, about 40 to 50 minutes.
