Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. bacon
  • 4 large onions, diced
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. molasses
  • 2 cans butter beans, drained
  • 2 cans green lima beans, drained
  • 1 can red beans
  • 1 can pork and beans

Instructions

  1. Brown the bacon, crumble, and set aside.
  2. In bacon drippings, sauté diced onions until translucent. Drain off excess fat.
  3. Add dry mustard, salt, garlic powder, vinegar, brown sugar, and molasses to the onions. Stir well.
  4. Simmer the mixture, covered, for 20 minutes.
  5. Add all the drained beans to the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and bake at 250°F (120°C) for 2 hours until thick, or cook in a crock-pot for 4 to 5 hours.
