Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 2/3 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 c. soft butter
  • 2 tsp. instant coffee
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Grease 2 (9-inch) round layer pans. Dust with cocoa.
  2. Blend all ingredients at low speed.
  3. Put mixer on high and beat for 4 minutes.
  4. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  5. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  6. Cool layers in pans for 10 minutes.
