Ingredients

  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tuna
  • 2 hard-cooked eggs
  • 1/2 cup chopped stuffed olives
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion or chives
  • 2 tablespoons plain gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 cups mayonnaise
  • Red pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a mold with salad oil and turn it to drain excess oil.
  2. Mince the tuna with the eggs, olives, and minced onion or chives.
  3. Soften the gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes.
  4. Dissolve the gelatin over hot water and gradually add the mayonnaise, stirring constantly.
  5. Fold the mayonnaise mixture into the fish mixture.
  6. Turn the mixture into the prepared mold and chill until firm.
  7. Unmold the salad onto lettuce and serve.
