Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans tomato sauce
  • 1/2 c. water
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen spinach or broccoli
  • 1 c. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan grated cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 pkg. lasagna
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella or Monterey Jack cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain excess fat.
  2. Add tomato sauce, water, and salt to the meat; bring to a boil.
  3. Squeeze excess liquid from frozen spinach or broccoli.
  4. Blend spinach, cream cheese, Parmesan, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  5. In a 3‑quart baking dish, layer a thin coat of sauce, uncooked lasagna sheets, the spinach filling, and more sauce.
  6. Repeat layers of sauce, cheese slices, lasagna sheets, and sauce until ingredients are used up.
  7. Cover the dish with foil.
  8. Bake at 375°F for 1 hour.
  9. Let rest before serving.
