  2. Sprinkle the ground vegetables with salt and let stand overnight.
  3. Combine the remaining ingredients: sugar, celery seed, mustard seed, turmeric, and cider vinegar.
  4. Pour the vinegar mixture over the salted vegetables.
  5. Heat the mixture to boiling.
  6. Simmer for 3 minutes.
