Ingredients

  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can beef consomme
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/3 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 3/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine the consomme and water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and stir well.
  3. Let the mixture stand overnight at room temperature.
  4. Use the sauce to baste meats during grilling or barbecue.
  5. Apply with a wooden handle dish mop soaked in the sauce.
