Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup pancake or waffle mix
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 2/3 cups bran flakes with raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the pancake or waffle mix, cocoa, and sugar.
  4. Combine milk, oil, and lightly beaten egg, then add to the dry ingredients, mixing just until blended.
  5. Stir in bran flakes with raisins.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until the top springs back when lightly pressed.
  8. Cut into squares and serve with vanilla yogurt or fresh fruit, if desired.
