Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. mostaccioli
  • 1 qt. jar spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 (8 oz.) can Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute the hamburger, chopped onion, chopped green pepper, and diced celery until the meat is browned and vegetables are tender.
  2. Mix in spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce with the cooked meat and vegetables.
  3. Add oregano, basil, and a little brown sugar if desired. Blend the cheeses together.
  4. Cook the mostaccioli noodles until tender, then drain.
  5. Combine cooked noodles with the meat and sauce mixture, then layer with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) until cheese is melted and bubbly, about 15-20 minutes.
