Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 cups diced apples
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream the sugar and eggs together.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients except apples and nuts.
  3. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples and chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased tube pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool before serving. No topping needed.
