Mountain Meat Pie
A hearty mountain-inspired meat pie combining ground venison or elk with savory tomato flavors, rice, and cheese, perfect for outdoor gatherings or family dinners. Rich and satisfying.

- Combine ground meat, tomato sauce, bread crumbs, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, salt, pepper, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl.
- Pat this mixture into the bottom and sides of a greased 9-inch pie pan to form the crust.
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and cook rice until half-cooked, about 10 minutes.
- Mix cooked rice, the remaining tomato sauce (from one can), and 1/4 cup grated cheese. Place this mixture into the meat shell.
- Cover the pie with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and pour off excess juices.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese and 1/2 can of tomato sauce on top, then bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
