Mozzarella Eggs combine fluffy eggs with melted cheese and aromatic herbs, creating a savory, cheesy breakfast perfect for cheese lovers and anyone craving a quick, flavorful start to the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. water
  • 4 slices Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a skillet until melted.
  2. Carefully crack eggs into the skillet one at a time.
  3. Cook over medium heat until egg whites are set.
  4. Sprinkle eggs with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour water into the skillet and place slices of mozzarella cheese over the eggs.
  6. Sprinkle with dried oregano leaves and paprika for garnish.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
  9. Serve hot.
