Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Miracle Whip dressing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 (14 oz) package caramels
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat eggs, sugar, brown sugar, Miracle Whip dressing, and vanilla at medium speed with an electric mixer.
  3. Add flour and baking soda to the mixture and combine.
  4. Set aside 1 cup of batter.
  5. Spread the remaining batter into a lightly greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
  6. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes.
  8. While baking, melt the caramels with milk to make caramel topping.
  9. Spread caramel over the cooled base.
  10. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped pecans on top of the caramel.
  11. Let the bars set before cutting and serving.
