Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Wesson oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in an oblong pan.
  2. Make three holes in the mixture.
  3. In hole #1, pour Wesson oil; in hole #2, pour vinegar; in hole #3, pour vanilla.
  4. Pour 1 1/2 cups of cold water over all ingredients.
  5. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
  6. Bake in a 350°F oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
