- Cut bread into 3-inch circles and butter one side of each slice.
- Place the bread circles buttered side down in small muffin pans.
- Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes until golden.
- Cook diced mushrooms for 3 minutes, then drain.
- Sprinkle flour over the cooked mushrooms and stir completely.
- Add half and half to the mushroom mixture and stir until it boils and thickens.
