A hearty mushroom pepper steak dish featuring tender beef strips, green peppers, and savory mushrooms in a flavorful soy-based sauce, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. cubed steak or round steak, cut in small strips
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 large green pepper, diced
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 can mushrooms, sliced and drained

Instructions

  1. Put soy sauce in a bowl.
  2. Dip pieces of steak in soy sauce, then roll in flour.
  3. Brown steak in oil over medium heat.
  4. Add green pepper and sauté a few minutes.
  5. Add water and drained mushrooms.
  6. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
  7. Serve with rice.
