Mushroom Tarts

Ingredients

  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. water
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano (optional)
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c. chopped mushrooms
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Sprinkle water over the mixture while mixing with a fork until the dough comes together.
  4. Form the dough into a ball.
  5. Divide the dough into 24 equal portions.
  6. Press each portion onto the bottom and sides of greased miniature muffin pans to form shells.
  7. In a separate bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese, chopped mushrooms, chopped onion, and egg, and mix well.
  8. Spoon the mushroom mixture over each tart shell.
  9. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
