- Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cut in margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle water over the mixture while mixing with a fork until the dough comes together.
- Form the dough into a ball.
- Divide the dough into 24 equal portions.
- Press each portion onto the bottom and sides of greased miniature muffin pans to form shells.
- In a separate bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese, chopped mushrooms, chopped onion, and egg, and mix well.
- Spoon the mushroom mixture over each tart shell.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.
