Mutant Scalloped Potatoes

Creamy, cheesy scalloped potatoes layered with onions and butter, baked to perfection. A comforting dish ideal for family dinners or special occasions, rich in flavor and texture.

Ingredients

  • 6 to 10 medium potatoes
  • 1 stick butter or oleo
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel potatoes and slice very thin.
  2. Dice onion.
  3. Cut butter into approximately 16 pats.
  4. Divide potatoes into fourths, along with onions.
  5. Place 1 layer of potatoes and onions into a 9 x 12-inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle with 1/4 of the grated Parmesan cheese and place 4 pats of butter on top.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, aiming for 4 layers.
  9. Bake in a 375°F oven for 1 hour. Serve hot.
