Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 envelope chili seasoning
  • 6 oz can tomato sauce
  • large bag Tostitos chips
  • picante sauce (Pace)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • sliced olives
  • tomatoes, chopped
  • lettuce, shredded
  • cheese, shredded (Colby or Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • jalapeno peppers

Instructions

  1. Fry ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
  2. Add chili seasoning and water according to package directions.
  3. Saute for approximately 5 minutes.
  4. Add tomato sauce and cook until the meat looks saucy.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Line a plate with chips, layer with meat, onions, green peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes.
  7. Add picante sauce and top with shredded cheese, jalapeno peppers, sliced olives, and sour cream.
