Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 to 1 chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 15 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • dash of nutmeg or mace (optional)
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef with chopped onions in their own fat until the beef loses its color.
  2. Drain off excess fat from the beef and onions.
  3. Add crushed tomatoes, nutmeg or mace if desired, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir well to combine.
  5. Simmer the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
