Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  4. Alternate adding dry ingredients and water to the mixture, stirring well after each addition.

  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
