Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (15 oz) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 6 oz shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 3/4 cup hot water

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef and add spaghetti sauce; stir well.
  2. Crack eggs into a bowl and beat.
  3. Add cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, and 1 cup of shredded cheese; mix well.
  4. Add oregano and stir to combine.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Place 3 uncooked lasagna noodles in the baking dish.
  7. Spread some meat mixture over the noodles.
  8. Add cheese mixture over the meat layer and then layer again with noodles and meat.
  9. Pour hot water into the baking dish around the edges.
  10. Cover the dish with foil and press the foil to the sides.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 1/4 hours (75 minutes).
  12. Let stand for 10 minutes after baking.
  13. Remove foil, sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese on top before serving.
