Ingredients

  • 1 pkg egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons margarine
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 slice cheese
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package directions.
  2. While noodles cook, brown the ground beef and drain excess fat.
  3. In a separate saucepan, melt the margarine over medium heat.
  4. Add flour, salt, and pepper to the melted margarine and stir to form a roux.
  5. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  6. Combine cooked noodles, browned beef, and sauce in a large mixing bowl or pan.
  7. Top with a slice of cheese and let it melt before serving.
