Norwegian Te-Brod is a rich, buttery cake infused with warm spices like cardamom and lemon extract, perfect for tea time or special occasions with a sweet cinnamon topping.

- Melt butter; add sugar, beaten eggs, lemon extract, and sifted flour with baking powder, salt, and ground cardamom; mix well.
- Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle a mixture of sugar and cinnamon over the top of the batter.
- Bake in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool.
- Split the cake lengthwise, then into slices.
- Place slices on a cookie sheet and bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven until browned.
- Turn over and brown the other side.
