Ingredients

  • 30 to 32 oz. frozen strawberries in syrup
  • 3/4 cup raspberry liqueur
  • 1/4 cup Marsala
  • 2 packages vanilla pudding
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 pint heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 packages ladyfingers
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 pint whipping cream
  • slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Combine thawed frozen strawberries, raspberry liqueur, and Marsala in a saucepan and boil down until thickened.
  2. Stir frequently to prevent scorching on the bottom.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool.
  4. Prepare vanilla pudding with 3 cups of milk as directed on the package.
  5. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fold the prepared pudding into the whipped cream, cover, and refrigerate.
  7. Wash, hull, and slice fresh strawberries, keeping some whole for garnish.
  8. Whip the heavy whipping cream with some sweetener for garnish.
  9. Toast slivered almonds if desired for garnish.
