Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sweet butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream
  • 3 egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sweet butter, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  2. Add egg yolks and sour cream to the mixture and combine thoroughly.
  3. Form the dough into small balls and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Roll out the chilled dough thinly on a floured surface.
  5. Fill with nuts or prune jelly, then fold in half and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the top with beaten egg white.
  7. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 15 minutes until golden.
