Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 4 teaspoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup seedless raisins, plumped in boiling water and drained
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 teaspoons melted butter
  • 1 (9-inch) pie shell

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients (sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt) in a mixing bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, beat the eggs with a fork.
  3. Add the milk and melted butter to the eggs and mix well.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  5. Pour the filling into the pie shell.
  6. Bake in a slow oven at 275°F (135°C) for 2 hours.
  7. Serve with whipped cream.
